This is not as daft and obvious as it may sound – if you try it, you will often find it’s only your concentration on space and heading words that has been hindering you.
For example, you decide you want to say:
Minister for the Environment announces allocation of £2million worth of grants to allow councils to paint public buildings pink.
This can become:
Minister promises £2m for pink buildings
with the only new word being “promises”.
